Movie Reviews: Tomb Raider (2018)

Synopsis (IMDB): Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished years earlier. Hoping to solve the mystery of her father's disappearance, Croft embarks on a perilous journey to his last-known destination -- a fabled tomb on a mythical island that might be somewhere off the coast of Japan. The stakes couldn't be higher as Lara must rely on her sharp mind, blind faith and stubborn spirit to venture into the unknown.

In case you've watched the movie, here's some of our review:

- Another video-game heroine with the really dark theme! Every actress and actor give justice to this movie

- Lara has been through so much things from this movie like how her father left her and she decided to take a deathly adventure to find out about her dad's messages but, you're gonna see her as a strong woman. 

- I haven't really watched the Angelina Jolie's version yet but, i've already seen a few footage of her in that movie. It turns out that she doesn't really fit that role (SORRY, ANGELINA!) but, she is really supportive to Alicia Vikander. I find it a little cringe but, Alicia as Lara Croft is totally better. 

- Anyway, Lu Ren is one of the most interesting character -- just like Bucky Barnes (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) but in Tomb Raider movie. I love the friendships between Lara and him. Like, he seems to have a messy attitude at first but, after going through the hardest part of the journey with Lara in the ship, he's totally changed. The real side of him just shows up itself.

- The fighting scene is breath-taking. You can totally feel the tense

- There's the part when Lara finally found her dad and she saw him got infected and passed away. In that part, I'M CRYING, IT'S SO EMOTIONAL, or am i just too emo?

- Best part of the movie? When Lara sneaked back to save Lu Ren. It's so heroic. After that, they made everyone free from Matias Vogel's slavery and all of them decide to save each other

- Besides, there's nothing new or special from this action movie but, we don't know about their next sequel yet right? 

- Also, they don't really tell the obvious details about the company that Croft runs
