Review:
- A movie adapted from a book. It might make you a little traumatic until your body is shaking. Me? REALLY TRAUMATIC. I don't know how to put that in words. It gives a nightmare that keeps someone awake
- Even this movie is about a horrifying holocaust that might cause a trauma, Mark Herman, as the director still happens to make the movie a little friendly
- The story is very light. It's not hard for you to comprehend every detail of it like, when they show howthe precocious girl, Gretel is attracted to Lt. Kotler by holding his arm and getting blushed when Bruno innocently tease about them (a little cringe scene up here)
- This story makes us realize that nobody was born with hates which makes us really emotional and angry
- The other thing that makes us more emo is Bruno's innocence. He's a kid who can only figure things out with his own heart which is right or wrong. With the same kind of innocence, it shows the beauty of his bravery
- A pretty fascinating movie but, here's one thing! I don't think that the title fully fits the movie because, they don't show the real boy in striped pajamas dominantly. They show more of Bruno and his family so, it's better if the movie is titled with something about Bruno (Just opinions!)
-  The movie tells about everyone's traits in the very realistic way. They wanna keep Bruno brave but, they make sure to make him a real 8 year old boy. Or, when Bruno's mother witness her husband's cruelty, Ralf, she's really desperate and depressed, it's shown through her soft heart and lady-like style
- Everyone's acting skills are totally on point especially, Asa Butterfield as Bruno and Jack Scanlon as Shmuel
- There's not much profanities but, there are cruel or disturbing terms like how they mention that Jews aren't people at all or when Gretel said "evil, dangerous vermin"
- Bruno's mom, Elsa, knows that something isn't right that has blinded her whilst she does nothing much about it but, telling his husband to quit. We don't know if she's apathetic or helpless or afraid or all of them combined.
